If he wouldn't have hurt his arm, he would have won the fight. Three yrs later at the Judo 2010 World Cup Lisbon, he choked him up and won the gold medal against Stevens.

@702decatur yes karo trained here almost all his life.. well when it was just judo. now is a big mma academy, is much bigger, and there is no only judo, but grappling, wrestling, muay thai, etc.. you know MMA.. but unfortunately i have no chance go do sparring with karo since he left a while ago before i start training here.. and yes I won man golden state as well when i was about 12 years old lol.. do you live in california then?

@migerusan29 Strong club I think Karapet or "Karo" went there.. I played a few of those guys back in the day in the Golden State games...

@702decatur I was never mad or anything similar... I'm retired anyway, I just do freestyle Judo (real judo of course in my opinion) here in Hollywood with Gokor and LeBell in the hayastan academy. I believe the IJF is making a Judo a very weak grappling art, when in reality is a very complete and extremely effective grappling art.
