Red Velvet Cupcake Video: http://youtu.be/G6_OAkX-Zrg

You don't need an electric mixer or stand mixer for this recipe. ;)

INGREDIENTS
For cupcake batter:
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup sugar
1 large egg
2 eggwhites
1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla
1 chocolate pudding snack cup :)
1/4 cup milk

For ganache icing:
4.5 to 5 oz of dark or semi-sweet chocolate
1/3 cup whipping cream

***IF YOU CAN'T FIND ANY PUDDING, you don't have to use it. What you can do is while cupcakes are cooling on the cupcake rack, poke holes on each cupcakes. Make a Simple Syrup = 1 part water to 1 part sugar. For example, dissolve 3 tbsp sugar and 3 tbsp of water and brush the sugar water on top of each cupcake allowing the syrup to penetrate on the holes you just made. This will make the cupcakes moist as well. Good luck and happy baking! ♥

  • @nothingseriousable If you don't have vegetable oil, just use melted butter. It should be okay. ;) Thanks for your comment! ♥

  • hey just make two batches of these things......they came out soo chocolatey goodness....im using them as a stable for a pullapart skeleton cake and i tried one...they are good. :)

  • @tryforceofcurage That's great! I'm glad you tried the recipe. ♥

  • is whipped cream like milk?

  • @Valerinaisback Whipping cream has a higher fat content than milk, so it's different. :( I'm sorry if you can't find any... Check on the web for other alternatives. Good luck!

  • @loverboi8179 ...the icing IS the frosting....you don't have to use the same kinda she did though...

  • @JoyMac13 OMG I HAVE THE SAME BAKING POWDER SEND BACK

  • looks GORGEOUS.

  • im using the same chocolate brand like yours ;D

  • How many servings does this have?

  • to make the ganache without heavy cream just substitute the heavy cream with 1/3 cup of milk, 1 tablespoon of butter and if you're using fat free milk just add a teaspoon of flour before boiling it (: hope it works

  • I've been wondering this since forever: is your measuring spoon adjustable to make it tsp, 1/2 tsp, tbsp, and stuff? it looks like all you need to do is like move that gray part up or down. that would be cool!

  • can it be one eggwhite or does it have to be 2

  • omg these are amazing i did this and i just a 1 tsp of coffeee but other thenthst it tasted great thank u so much

  • Made this today and it looked and tasted fantastic! The only things I'd change is the 75% chocolate I used as I personally found it too bitter. Also, the buns didnt raise higher than the bun cases like yours did but thats because I didnt fill them high enough most likely. I am sure they will be a hit when I make them for family thais weekend. Thanks again, very straighforward with no faffing about! :-)
