That might be because the writer responsible for the Dark Ocean was not a mayor writer for the show, he was only involved in a few episodes.

why does kari go to the dark ocean again? i kinda missed the reason

Cause Dragomon (the Cthulhu like thing at the end of the ep) wanted to have a kid with her, for some reason (dub called it "marriage").

The Dark Ocean tends to target people whose crests are associated with benevolence (Friendship, Love, Kindness, Light), it also went after Sora and Yamato in the first season briefly, and off course Ken.

The Numemon called her their queen for a few episodes since she had saved them, but she wasn't actually royalty.

I don't get why this video doesn't have any comments. I mean, it's apparently good enough for three favorites, over 300 views, and for three ratings of 5 stars... Why not at least three comments to go along with all the other multiples of three?

i really thought the dark ocean and the darkness that surrounded Matt in season 1 was a major symbol and theme for Digimon.. too bad they didn't elaborate as much... i never knew who that big monster in the ocean was.. and as for the Matt darkness i always saw it as a big dark energy that would fill inside of Matt because he was very negative.
