I've thought about it & it makes even more sense that Simon was going to buzz Hollie if she didn't sing. (Her dancing was mediocre, at best.) He expected her to sing because she's wearing boom mics. Only a singer-dancer would get those. A pure dancer would use the stand mic & MAYBE a lavalier (lapel) mic. (See Callum Francis & Natalie Okri's auditions, as well.)
