Yes. We are giving social media sites control over our connections. But, unless you've got the cash to create your own online community, I don't know what else we can do about it

We definitely are at the mercy of all of these social media sites. I'm going to make a copy of all of my followers names just because listening to what happened to you. I don't knoe what the answer is tho bc everyone I want my clients connected to are already on twitter.Bit you are right we are letting twitter and facebook and linkedin hold the keys to our rolodexes.
