This was a project for a documentary class that I took in the spring of 2007. Bascially it is a showreel of various camera techniques.

  • correct titling of the shots, but most are incorrectly framed

  • would you care to elaborate for all of the people that are here to learn?

  • hey , very nice video and very usefull,

do you know any books which would have the explanation of all camera angles and how to do it , maybe with some pictures .

if you know any books like the please tell me the names coz i am strugelling to find them ,

    BIg thanks

  • The book that I would highly suggest is called "Cinematic Storytelling" by Jennifer Van Sijll. Very complete explanations with pictures of examples from real movies. It should be all you need. Thanks!

  • how did u change the focus in the extreme close up , the camera was focusing on the toys ,then suddenly in focuses on the backgound without moving the camera?

  • well it depends on what camera you use, but you should be able to adjust the focus even on higher end consumer cameras, when you get into lower end prosumer they start featuring focus rings, which is what this camera had

  • very educational

  • hate this fucking song. Dude theres a million other songs. ITS FUCKING ANOYING

  • Pull in/ pull out were cool shots, just wish you got a dolly or something to pull out/ in instead of a zoom. otherwise, very nice shots!

  • great job

  • I like it!

  • What program you used to get letters animation on video ?

  • i agree with shadow.

  • It's not like they were totally incorrect or amateur. i just found in some of the shots rule of thirds and such techniques are not used, and the "over the shoulder" shot was incorrectly displayed. perhaps i'm just used to analyzing film as a full piece where each shot has meaning and depth
