  • Hey Julian, can you tell me what kind of heads you use?

  • Hey Brother,

On this video I am using Remo Ambassador coated on the batter side and Remo Ambassador clear on the resonant side of the toms.

For snare drum it was a Remo powerstroke 3.

Bass drum was some junk thing, I don't remember what it was because I broke a head just before the recording.

At the moment however I am using Ambassador Clears on top and bottom of toms because I like a change every now and then. Also the clears have more of a sing song fusion overtone compared to the coated.

  • Oh my god haha

Julian I have studied the world's great drummers my friend, and you are quickly becoming one of my favorites...!

  • Hey cjc,

You are a great source of encouragement to me.

I respect your opinion, therefore your comments mean a lot.

    Thanks,

    Julian

  • Health Snake Genius!!!

  • Sweet drumming man!

  • excellent drumming dude!

  • No. The shells of this kit were just some drums that I was able to scrounge up for this recording. I was still awaiting my Sonor SQ2 kit at this time.

The white parts are a cheapish maple shell. The blue parts are a really rubbish wood, probably bass wood.
