It'll be weird if in real life if an recently diagnosed aids patient just said it like that. Heck anyone of any fatal or potentially fatal disease would sound strange. "Phhh I got the results today -crosses legs, sips from cup, and picks up clothes magazine casually- I definately have aids".

My friends and I went to the August 29th screening in Portland, and when Lisa says "They're curing lots of people every day", we yelled "JUST ASK TED KENNEDY" and we were met with a respectful silence..it was pretty great.
