I did a support gig for Mal nearly 20yrs ago and as a guitar player I found him inspirational and one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Blues or any genre of music isnt about trying to impress your audience at every opportunity or it loses its meaning. Proud to say I even met Mal......I do have a really kool vid of the night too!

@chrisb1953 taste, style, and experience. Yours? Mal Eastick should be respected more.... Stars never got the recognition they deserved IMHO. Mal was amazing in those days and an inspiration but come on...... how many guitar players are out there now doing this? This is way too derivative to be exciting and I expected more from him, sorry if my opinion steps outside your comfort zones - hehe

Blues........oh so serious, oh so pretentious, oh so boring. Sorry but this has no soul - it's just a bunch of guys copping licks, from their record collection and pulling faces as if someone has farted on stage. Mal peaked in Stars - this is just derivative pap

True, but Adam is a kick ass player as well. He and Steve Edmonds have to be two of the best younger blues players out there that i have had the pleasure seeing.
Mal Eastick is truly one of our guitar heroes!
