United Kingdom: Police Recruit Kids Into Scientology - Extremely scandalous - Parents take note.

The United Kingdom: Police officers across the country have been used by the Church of Scientology to promote it's campaign in British schools. Officers have been handing out booklets that praise the science fiction writer and convicted felon, L.Ron Hubbard, the church's founder. These booklets describe prescription drugs as "poison".

Scientologists boast that they are so trusted by the Police that they've been asked to act as Adult Representatives for young people arrested on drug-related offences.

One of the booklets handed out by the Metropolitan Police on behalf of the Cult of Scientology described Hubbard as creator of "the safest, most effective and ONLY detoxification procedure of it's kind."

In total, 1million booklets are distributed each year by the Police on behalf of the cult. They label antidepressants as "poison" and say that oxycodone, a perscription painkiller usually given in terminal cases is "as powerful as heroin." A booklet on methadone, the drug used by NHS to treat heroin addicts is as dangerous as the class A drug and should not be prescribed. Furthermore the booklets recommend Narconon, the Scientology's proven 97% relapse detox program as the only way to recover from drug abuse, while in the real case, it's as useless as the rest of Hubbard's babblings.

Metropolitan police have attended meetings in London and West Sussex hosted by the cult aimed at "forging links with community leaders."

Interestingly, Metropolitan police are carrying out an inquiry with Scotland Yard overseeing it after some 20 officers were caught red handed accepting Scientology gratuities, such as tickets to Leicester Square premiere of Mission Impossible III, 500pound a head charity dinner at the cult's British Headquarters. Both events were attended by Scientology Poster Boy, Tom Cruise.

So, what do YOU think? And if they can bribe officers with such simplicity, they can try to pull that crap here or in other countries.
