I had never had a scottie until recently. Had I known how stubborn they were, I would have returned her. She was a b-day present, BUT she is the most loving dog I've ever owned. It was so stressful at the beginning and even now a little (she's 10 mos. old), but now we are getting the hang of it and she is by my side all the time now. She depends on me so much, she's obedient, and my joy!

@wildpitchernae I do not use treats, just repeat what you want your dog to do and don't give her/him the treat or ball until the dog does it. For example,if you want her to sit, say sit and as soon as she does, give her a hug/ball/treat.Do this everyday for days and days and you'll see they get the hang of it. Then go on to more tricks. Mine is so obedient now,but it takes patience and persistence.Don't give too many treats,they tend to become overweight.Hope it helps.
