The compering seems to be done by the legendary Ameen Sayani. And the Naval Chief is S.M Nanda, who expired pretty recently.

Show was attended by President of India. governor or Maharastra, Naval chief and other celebrities !.

Shankar Jaikishan did many such programs for charties etc.

One shd see the list of celebrities who attended the show. Iam told huge collections were made in this show. It reminds me of the National defence show by SJ held in1966 where it lead to 13.5 crore collections in terms of bonds etc. ! Hats off to Shankar jaikishan the most verstile composers from Hindi films

It is really nice to see such an old video. I didn't even know it existed. If you noticed there was only Jaikishen as he split with Shankar in late 60's. Does anyone know who the compeerer was. It kinda sounded like Ameen Sayani.

Look other videos you will find both of them on stage. Shankar Jaikishan split in the mid 60's from 1965 They used to compose independently Because they believed in the Brand Called "Shankar Jaikishan" They never used to do solo projects except one by Shankar with the ghost name "Suraj".
