@tyme4mike In fact, I'm willing to bet that you, too, are dependent on the medication. You probably get sick when you don't have it, but you use your spinal pain as a scapegoat because you haven't been using long enough to admit to yourself (or others) that you have fallen into the same trap that you've always told yourself would never happen.

@tyme4mike All I'm trying to say is that drug addiction isn't what a naive mind may think it is. There isn't anyone on this planet immune to addiction, and the people that are dependent on opioid medications shouldn't be treated so poorly because of it. I just wish our world was developed enough to not think of it as "taboo" to help people with opioid replacement treatment. At least respond with something other than insolence...

Well duh you idiot. You have all the right to make your own decisions. I just wanted to share what experience I have personally faced with dealing with a friend that is now DEAD from an OVERDOSE of this drug. There's a difference with wearing it like it's supposed to be worn and not eating it. CAUSE OF DEATH WAS FENTYNOL OVERDOSE!!! When you're on the drug so heavily the only thing you care about is getting more, not how to stop. See this and please understand I mean nothing but BE CAREFUL!
