  • Forche is brilliant. I studied under her at Georgetown and she is just brilliant. This poem makes you feel kind of sick though doesn't it? It just sort of disturbs you. I think its the mix of dinner and jars filled with ears coming to life.

  • Wow. This is my first time hearing Carolyn Forche. She does not dissapoint. I have to say I could see every line as she read it. Very distinct rythym and lyrical suspense. I would like to hear it without background music as well. Thank you for posting this.

  • This reminds me of the late thirties, specifically, Franco and his merry band of conquistadors. With a little help, from that other humanitarian, Adolph. I do realize that isn't the case. This atrocity is more recent. Love commenting on your posts Ray. Mike
