"Wormwood and the flames" is a film about the chernobyl nuclear disaster of 1986 and the city of Pripyat.
The film is divided into 3 parts the "Before", "During" and "After".
Each has its own soundtrack, the first is the Soviet anthem performed by the soviet children's choir, the second is Michael G.Breece's "The Garden" and the third track is Michael G.Breece's "When glass could sleep"

  • Funny but tragic how people like Silkrat are keep trying to defend nuclear power strategies, arguing this matter with technical replies to skeptical (often right) posts..

Yes, OK, but YOU don't mind about WASTES at least. I don't want to sindacate nuclear policies of USSR era, it's just a matter of good sense, ain't ya? What about japanese plants and the actual ( and well hidden by mass media ) chinese syndrome? Do we need other explainations to refuse nuclear and its consequences?

  • @dottorzerotrash

Well, the energy industry IS all about technical matters, so I don't see how my replies could not include technical details. As for waste, a properly maintained nuclear plant (think France, Sweden or Canada) produces similar or greater amounts of power, but much less pollution than our Polish coal based powerplants. Everyone is entitled to his own opinion. All I'm saying is: A well maintained nuclear plant is less damaging for the enviroment than a coal-burning plant.

  • @Silkrat Of which "safety standards" are you talking about? Is there a safe standard for stocking nuclear wastes? There's no other reason for arguing about..

Thanks to all italians who have voted against nuclear!

  • @dottorzerotrash Well for once, every reactor should have a proper containment chamber thick enough to withstand a steam explosion. The first reactors in Chornobyl actually HAD these, but reactor 4 (the one destroyed in 1986) did not because of budget cuts and "cutting corners". Second, all powerplant personnel should have proper training and experience, which the chornobyl night shift had not. Furthermore, the 1986 "test procedure" went against even USSR safety regulations of that time.

  • @dottorzerotrash Bottomn line is: The 1986 diaster was caused by a series of errors, design and planning flaws, "cutting corners", "saving money on safety elements" and pure simple stupidity and carelessness. One fact: had the reactor number 4 been built according to then-USSR regulations and had a thick concrete containment chamber like reactors 1&2 had, then the 1986 diaster would be minor and radiation poisoning would be limited to the NPP grounds only, with no atmosphere contamination.

  • Only fools or corrupted politicians still believe in nuclear energy! This video is a message for all italians that can decide again their future on next June 11th and 12th!

VOTE YES AGAINST GOVERNMENT CRAZY POLICIES FOR THE RETURN OF NUCLEAR POWER IN ITALY! WE CAN'T AFFORD OTHER DISASTERS LIKE THIS ONE! DON'T GET FOOLED BY MEDIA, THEY'RE TELLING YOU A BUNCH OF LIES!!

ITALIANI, VOTATE SI AL REFERENDUM DELL'11 E 12 GIUGNO CONTRO IL RITORNO DEL NUCLEARE!!!

  • @dottorzerotrash

I believe in the dozens of French and many other nuclear power plans in the world that continue to operate for decades without any disasters. Nuclear power is dangerous, when not handled with proper care and respect for safety procedures and human life. But let us not make this a political issue aimed at those power plants who operate keeping all safety standards.

In the contexts of these events; whooo to the women with unborn children , and trough these places no one will pass , and people see her smoke going up from far (Rome ) etc etc

Today people where having street parties over Bin Laden. There will also be street parties over the two witnesses killed on the streets of Jerusalem in the end time Rev 11

  • @Silkrat Revelation like Ezekiel and Song of Song as well as Genesis and Exodus are very accurate picture books showing spiritual reality in this time-frame , the time of grace and coming ages.

But some of the things can be taken pretty material , like the matter of the sign of the Beast ; the bio-chip, talking about technical inventions in this age , or people screaming things from the rooftops things spoken in the inner rooms; wiki-leaks or indeed wormwood about radioactivity .

  • @treasureinvessel

Quote: "And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter."

    - I don't see the great star falling from the heavens part. And radiation is harmfull both in and out of water, its not a poison per se.
