Neighborhoods in Metropolitan New York City.wmv

Ecologists take samples along a transect to better understand a region. I shot footage over a week in the autumn of 2011 along a route from Liberty Airport to Stewart Airport and back to learn about the Metropolitan New York environment. Even though both airports are run by the New York City Port Authority, the neighborhoods between them range from urban high-rises to preserved woodlands. There is still much open space in Greater New York City, USA.
