Since I haven't put a video of my progress up for a few weeks, this is week 6 of taking horn lessons. The instrument remains rediculously difficult ;-), but it's interesting to note that my tone has definately a bit since I started; and I can almost 'start' on a note. My range might have crept up a quater of a tone, but that's about it ;-) No sign of C above middle C yet, or even a stable G ;)
This is a snippet of "Cahier No1" by Georges Barboteu; it's nice because it's low down where I can play. The music was loaded into SmartMusic; that's what is doing the accompaniament. When I get the whole thing in there and a bit more practice, I'll upload a video of the whole thing. The observant person might note that I also upgraded my horn, since the one I had was basically out of tune and impossible to play...
are you gay?

For two moths good watch the begings of notes if you don't want them to stick out and more air support

the end not sounded a bit flat, watch your mouth muscles, maybe making them firmer will help :)

Keep up the good progress. Concentrate a little on the corner muscles - keep them firm to make the pitch stay more steady (and predictable!) for you. You can build those by doing lip slurs on the mouthpiece as well.

Hehe Keep up the practice. I'm looking forward to seeing more of these videos of you progressing in your playing. It's pretty cool. I wish I did this when I started!
