  • @muley180 it was built in 1920 by local farmers and loggers. no, it is no longer in use; the last train ran over it in 1979, and it had been abandoned since. it was in very bad shape; the province wanted to tear it down in 2007. the good news is that it is being restored, and the transcanada trail will go over it; it's scheduled to open in summer of this year.

  • Just curious, is the trestle still in use? It looks to be a little in disrepair. Do you know what year it was built? It looks really cool. Thanks

  • Wow, we used to walk over that 40 years ago and it was still an operational railway trestle, and was in great shape.

  • Very cool indeed!!
