  • This might be better described as program notes, than an analysis.

  • Someone needs to let the writer of this video that while it was written by Handel, "Joy to the World" is not from "Messiah".

  • When I was a grad student at Indiana University, Serebrier came to Bloomington to perform the 4th. Absolutely amazing! Unfortunately, I have not had another chance to hear it performed, but would jump at the chance to hear it again.

  • I want more please!

  • @epitimaios You're right - An analysis would be like trying to analyze the creation of the universe.

  • dis is it . dis is really it. IVES IVW IVES seen da beginning an da end. WOOO HOOOO

  • while i have a lot of Ives' favorites, this movement from the 4th is my singular all-time favorite piece of music, period... though I still somehow prefer the first version I heard (imperfections and all) way back when by Stokowski

  • Oh man, I would KILL to actually see this performed. Not literally kill, of course. Well, probably not.
