where's intro solo?

I have been a huge fan for a while and found his voice a little strange on this song. I started listening to all the songs and his vocals seem to be a little off. ...some pitch problems..... and being a lead singer in a band this is very normal to happen every once in a while. Remember: the vocalist's instrument is his own body! He may have not been feeling well this night. He could have gotten a cold or something! Please don't judge the guy ! He's one of the best musicians of the decade!

@sononchalant I feel you on that comment man. I watched his Pinkpop 2010 performance of gravity and was like "fuck... that's it for me."

He was sick during this performance. Hence the slightly off vocals. And as for WTLI, that performance was definitely enhanced to some extent before released. It just sounds TOO perfect, ya know? Plus there are some videos on youtube from the crowd in the WTLI performance, and you can hear slight differences in John's voice from time to time.

Where the light is is a DVD so i wouldnt be surprised if they did some sort of vocal tampering before they put it out this is 100 percent live on the spot john mayer. and hes damn good if you ask me.

For all those who critisice John Mayer's voice in this concert.... try to play with such a big band behind you, playing that loud without being able to hear yourself (watch he's got that thing off his ear), that's why he's all the concert taking it off!!
where the light is was inspiring, but discouraging at the same time. if you aspire to be anything like john mayer, LISTENING to where the light is will make you feel like a piece of sh*t. this reminds me that john mayer is human too, and not perfect all the time. it's encouraging, and he's still the best artist i know.

doubt it. listen to other youtube videos of him performiing live, hes got an amazing live voice, sometimes its even better than on the album. His voice was a little off all night for some reason.
