Protect the sensitive marine life from US Base construction

Local people at Henoko have been protesting for 8 years against the construction of a new US military sea base at the Henoko Sea, where is very rich with sea grass beds, coral reefs and a variety of marine life including Japan's Dugongs
As of June 12, 2007, their sit-in protest has been for 1150 days.(I am uploading this video by courtesy of the Green Peace Japan.)

I can film going to this exact place 365days a year and probaly never see it. YOu know why? because everybody assumes all the surrounding islands are okinawa as well. The dugong is indigenous to the Karama islands. it just one day swam through the area.I was born on okinawa never seen it nor know anybody who has.This whole propaganda is a anti american left wing plow to get the land from the poor and resell it at a profit. Yes, the proposed site of the construction of the airfield IS indeed off Henoko Beach. This is a FACT, and if you deny it, you simply don't know what you're talking about. My wife is Japanese and she's been down to some of the protests there. The construction towers are right off Henoko beach, and local people have occupied them to stop the construction.
