it looks like you can take snow mobiles up most of the way wy don't you use them? How long is the trip total?

@Taraalcar You don't need oxygen until you get to around 24,000 feet above sea level.

Under that white crest are deep and wide crevasses, some hundereds of feet deep and 50 yards or more wide. the crust is thin enough where climbers often punch through -- hence the ropes. the whole thing takes about three weeks. total blast!
