Savannah Vaughn and The Fall Creek Band are performing an oldtime fiddle tune "Angeline The Baker" (Angelina Baker) at the 2009 Cabin Fever Bluegrass Breakout Concert on 16 April 2009 at the Kingsport (Tennessee) Civic Auditorium. This celebration of local bluegrass talent was produced and sponsored by Appalachian Community Federal Credit Union. Other groups performing at this concert included The Ball Sisters Band and Next Best Thing (bluegrass) Band.

  • @rockgor This version (Angeline The Baker) is an "old-time fiddle tune" whose exact authorship is in question. It is considered a later parody of Stephen Foster's pre-1850 "southern field hand" song similarly titled "Angelina Baker". The two songs have very different lyrics and Stephen Foster's lyrics would be considered somewhat racist in by today's measure of "political correctness".
