My guest was Kelly Steck and he showed us a pergola he had built. This is at the entrance to his home and was designed to give some privacy from the street. While Kelly is handy with wood and tools, he thought most people (even me, he said off camera) could build something like this. It took him about one weekend and the total cost for everything was about $500.
The product he used as a finish and sealant is called Cedar Penofin.
