Okay, The reason I posted this video is because when I was having trouble getting the back off my grandmother's new Nokia 1661. I went online to find a solution, but I didn't find any. I got creative and found my own solution.

So if you bought this phone and you are having the same problem with sliding the back cover off to install the SIM card and battery, then you might find this video helpful.

To any YouTube representative who care,

I bought the Silent Hill 3 Official Soundtrack, so I'm well aware that Akira Yamaoka's "Rain of brass petals" is owned by Konami and Sony Music. Thanks.

  • thank you! I already took one phone back and got another one. it opened fairly easily the first time so I could put the battery in to charge it. I couldn't get it open again to put the sims card in. after watching your video, I used a silicon oven mitt and the back slid open easily. great tip!

  • @youvideo18a Glad this was helpful for you. Thank you for watching.

  • Still I don't know how this happens in nokia 1661 cellphones ... mine is ok .. And I don't know why others have problem on the back cover ... :P

  • @jeff63355 Who know, right? At least I can say that if my Grandmother drops her new phone, the screen might break, or something inside might get rattled out of place, but that back cover is not coming off. Lol,

  • cool, very helpful, thanks ... I was just about to toss this phone in the bin.

  • @zombiehellmonkey I know the feeling. We were about to take this one back to the store. I'm glad you found this video helpful.
