two years ago you interviewed me at the Green Gathering. I am dismayed that you have described me as a Gypsy and have spelt my name incorrectly. Correct spelling- Michael! I would like you to remove the word Gypsy and spell my name correctly.

Describing me as a Gypsy is inaccurate and irritating to people who are Romani.

at the end of the day this man is an inspiration to us all gypsy and gorgo alike to return back to the land and away from the technocratic mess. living free! more people needs to get back to traditional life! non of us can truly say we are romany( in the romany spirit of things!) untill we do!

In America, where I am from, we are legislated out of the traditional lifestyle. The anti-Gypsy laws are null and void as of the early 2000's due to the status crime statutes which rendered them thus but that does not change the laws against lifestyle that does not include the word "Gypsy."

How many Nu Age Travelers have had their family go up in Hitler's smoke stacks, have had their ancestors enslaved in Romania, are having their people slaughtered in Europe today? How many are turned down for jobs, turned down for housing, have the cops favor criminals who harm them over them (the victim), their property vandalized, and more just because of their ethnicity?

i am romani blood, never lives the romani life on the roads but my family are wild and very free. i grew up with that. i dont have any history. only old photos and rumours and stories. but i class my self every inch romani having a little gorgo blodd here and there. but what is a true romani. i beleive you are what you think or say you are.

i agree. this is a bit middle class. but a romani ( seen as not even working class but an underlcass by society- in the same league as prostutes and beggars)would be treated different. we could change this by being ourselves. i think this man has some part in it too. even if people are not romani everyone should have the right to live how they choose. i want to see more travelers romani or not living a traditional life.

some real romanis have lost their history, like myself, i have romany blodd on my mother and fathers side but we dont have anything only old phots from about 90 years ago! that doesnt make me a romantic. does it? i just hope more people return to living atraditional life that way it may change the tide and people can get used to us on the road and living the way that is natural to us.
