  • Hey Cynth, this is gerard-fucking-way from Tumblr (you've reblogged/liked my stuff a couple times). I just wanted to thank you for making this. I don't really relate to the gaming part, but I was born with mild cerebral palsy. This makes my gait a little odd, which means I get lots of weird looks, etc. daily. I am self-conscious about it, but it's a relief to know there are still some good people out there such as yourself who think before passing judgments. Thanks for being so awesome. :)

  • @femiaamusic Yes, hello! I'm extremely touched that you would open up to me. You are just like everyone else, and you should feel like you are. If "no-life losers" like me can see that, I just don't understand why so many other people can't. <3

  • I can't even begin to tell you how AMAZING this video is. There is just too many times I've felt the same way about games and the community within them. The healing power of feeling a part of something, when the entire world is falling around you, is immeasurable. It would be amazing if everyone with a negative thought about video games and those who play it could see this. I wish I had been more out spoken against critics I've come across in recent years, even friends. Thank you for this video.

  • @MidnightMonolith It's okay to be a RL warrior. ;) No shame in our game!

  • @McJ1B wheel chair* sorry I'm tired.

  • Great video. I had a good friend in WoW that was confined to a wield chair, so it home. As for the social aspect of online games, its amazing! I live in Seattle and stayed with friends I met in WoW in Florida, crossed the border into Canada for an Eve party and drove to Portland to LAN. I even had a friend I met in Eve from Ipswich in the UK fly all the way to Seattle just to hang out for 2 weeks! I've had some amazing experiences and met some awesome people due to online games. No life my ass.

  • YOU'RE CUTE haha

  • love this video like just the emotions i began to feel and how much sense u made of everything u talked about was just crazy. I especially loved ur comment about our community being a community where we arent as prejudice or mean as regular society it made me feel proud to be a gamer and be a part of this whole new massive underground society people dont even know about. Anyway i just loved ur video and thought u personally were awsome. im going to subscribe and i cant wait for new videos

  • This was a touching story. It's hard to imagine sometimes that there is a reason for people being less than helpful in dungeons sometimes... Your first reaction is "geez this kid is probably watching tv/texting his friends/eating chips and is just here for free exp!"

I wish I had more friends in real life that were like you and me, most of my "friends" get super pissed at me for not wanting to go out drinking every friday night, but at the same time they're too busy banging eachother to care.

  • I doubt it's about judging people or lacking a "life". People judge each other everywhere, the most used adjective in MMOs is probably "noob".

And "lives" are simply overrated. Games and the internet are simply the best forms of entertainment if you consider their cost and benefit. Unless you're rather rich, most "lives" aren't worth having.

  • @cynthx Well said Cynth, keep doing what you love... I tend to be that guy who sticks up for those getting picked on. Even though I'm generally liked, I understand what it is to be considerate of others and their situations. Unfortunately it's a common problem, online and off, but it's people like us who make things a little easier for those going through a rough time in their lives... In my opinion everyone who is living has a "life", despite what society may lead us to believe. Bless u

  • (It's @FutileInfektor on twitter or destroyerautumn on tumblr and whatnot) This video is so touching, because I can relate (in a way) my case isn't as severe but that's how I am, people always tell me how weird I am and tell me no one will ever like me because of how I look or the way I dress. I've never played WoW or any other online multiplayer games, but I did resort to making friends over the internet because I knew no one would like me in person because of what people said to me.

  • I can relate to this because I'm a single dad to my daughter who is a special needs child. She is strong and doesn't consider herself as having special needs, but I hate when another kid tries to make fun of her,but she sticks up for herself which makes me proud.Anyway I love your vids and I only wish we knew each other in real life so I could ask you out. You're beautiful on the outside and the inside.

  • Said so beautifully from a beautiful girl. Keep true to yourself Cynth <3
