not every game has epic music, a climb to a castle in space, and a final boss with a tiger head and dragon whips, but Rygar brings it all to the table

I really thought i was the only person on the planet that lived the music in this game
-
The music alone is reason enough to sit down and beat this game.

Wii Virtual Console PLEASE! I bought the arcade version, not even close to as good as this is.
While you're at it please add, Rush N' Attack, Section Z, Contra, Trojan, Wizards & Warriors, Commando, Karnov, Metal Gear and Bionic Commando for starters :)

The kids I used to babysit across the street had this game. I would play it for hours. Flashback and suddenly I'm thirteen again. Trippy :-)

I spent hours and hours and hours beating this game over and over late at night. The music and theme were just so hypnotizing and mystic. I think my initial interest in the game Karnov helped develop my interest in this game, although Rygar needs no precedent. Loved the ps2 remake of it as well. The music wasn't like the original(being so hypnotizing), but not many games have ever had that. Some in my opinion are Zelda, Secret of Mana, Ninja Gaiden1,2,&3, the Castlevanias, etc.
