TouchSynth: Touchscreen VB.NET Synth

This is just a project i'm working on at the moment (i've been working on it for about 2 hours max so there's more to come)

It was made using Visual Basic Express 2008 with Console.Beep.

As demonstrated, the Y axis controls pitch and X axis controls the note duration (giving it the strange sounds).

There is the ability to add guide lines which tell you where notes are on the screen, the ability to turn on a sustainer (when you remove your hand from the screen, the note keeps playing), the ability to add a gated affect (the stuttered sound) and there is also the ability to turn to mouse cursor on/off (not shown - this is useful for non-touchscreen systems).

The touchscreen is a normal screen with a HomeTouchSystems.com touchscreen kit on it (and hopefully the other two will have them also :))

Very cool, I am actually trying to learn how to program using a touch screen, i have no remote idea how to yet, I was wondering if you had any advice?

Hey - to be honest this just uses the mouse co-ordinate so i haven't really got much experience. Depending on your programming language, most have active forums and tutorial sites so just have a search for some and ask around, t'is my advice :)

Last night on new inventors (tv show in Australia) i seen 2 blind fellas that are doing pretty much the same thing, however they use it to hear where the mouse is on the screen, cool stuff.
