This is just a little clip from the awesomely funny movie with Jimmy Stewart.
A nice classical comedy with a deeper meaning for life and society. We should all have a "pooka" on our side to encourage us to me more kind and open-minded.

With the original introduction to the movie by Jimmy Stewart himself, recorded in 1985!

  • who is walter winchell and hedda hopper? lol are these famous people or just random names?

  • @chiccaboom They were very famous that time, when Hollywood was great and glamorous. Walter Winchell was an actor ( narrated THE UNTOUCHABLES with Robert Stack ), a show host and writer for TV. He died in 1972!

And Hedda Hopper was also a famous actress who appeared in quite a lot of movies in that time ( 1910 - ) She died in 1966.

Glamor and pomp in Hollywood! Nowadays you hear only about intrigues and affairs!

  • my all time favorite movie!

  • @lovejimmystewart It sure is an incredible masterpiece and hilariously funny movie without being too silly.

  • Jimmy had a special admiration and love for Harvey. I have a special admiration and love for Jimmy Stewart. He loved his family, country and God. There will always be a special place in my heart for James Maitland Stewart.

  • He sure does. He was definitely a real american patriot and even a republican ( at a time when you actually could say it out loud, without being dissed ) and a real war veteran!

He is certainly missed by thousands! Rest in Peace, old buddy!

  • I was lucky enough 2 be taken 2 London, (I think I must've been about 11 ??), 2 see Jimmy in this play. I marvelled all the way thru it, even though I couldnt believe I was following this 6'+ invisible white rabbit's footsteps across the floor.. coming in one door, footsteps right accross the stage, then exiting out the opposite end door! It was so convincing! - thats how good Jimmy, and the other actors, were - as well as the clever staging. Fantastic play & a special memory I'll never 4get!

  • the first donnie darko

  • The only reason you can't say it anymore is because the children have made it obscene. From the 60's forward, we've seen a bunch of kids go from Leave it to Beaver to spoiled pervert radical law or psychology students fearful of presumed homosexual hard rock musicians. Don't blame Alan O'Dell for King John being just a royal crown caretaker. That in of itself makes the name Stewart even seem taboo. What's so wrong with Harvey being a Robin Hood in that he liberates people of being introverted?
