In this, the last of four videos, Jaxon Ravens spends a few minutes cooking some Chanterelles and explains how to store them.




Jaxon is not an expert in the field of mycology (the scientific study of fungi). These videos are only introductions to this activity and for basic informational purposes only.

Do not eat any wild mushrooms you find unless you are absolutely sure what they are. Many wild mushrooms can be dangerous if eaten. Make sure to go with someone who knows what they are doing on your first couple of trips.

  • store your chanterelles in a paper bag with paper towel on the bottom and they should stay nice for weeks!

  • I grew up hunting morels w/ my mother. I am sure we hunted in low-lands under cottonwoods.Or were we hunting some thing else. Thanks so much for your Videos.Me, my wife and son will have so much fun hunting and eating mushrooms. What a wonderful thing for families to get in to. Teach kids to eat well.

  • I live in the Enumclaw area of Washington and we have the mother load of Chanterelles. So if you are ever in the area and want to go hunting let me know.

  • oh man....I am so terribly hungry right now. I have only found 2 areas in Northern Ontario where the chanterelle grows. I've managed to get four meals with chanterelles this past summer. Very small batch though. This guy is lucky to live where he does!
