The Rev. Dr Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Centre, an evangelical church in Florida, made the headlines when he threatened to burn Korans (Qur'ans) on September 11, 2010. He is the author of a book: "Islam is of the Devil", which portrays him as an expert on all things Islamic. However, when he was interviewed by MTA International, he admitted that he HAD NEVER READ THE KORAN!!! His ignorance is extraordinary.

This is part 1 of a 7-part programme entitled: The Holy Qur'an: Truth Revealed

In this programme ten major objections levelled against Islam by Terry Jones are addressed in the light of the Holy Qur'an and Hadith (the sayings and deeds of the Holy Prophet Muhammad - peace be upon him).

Additionally, an erroneous belief entertained by many Muslims is corrected in this programme: that the Qur'an apparently states that Jesus the Messiah (peace be upon him) was never crucified. In fact the Qur'an states that he was NEVER KILLED BY CRUCIFIXION. Jesus was indeed put on the cross but was saved from death on the cross. The Arabic words used by the Qur'an are و ما صلبوه "wa ma Salaboohu" which mean: "and they did not kill him by crucifixion." The Qur'an then states that Jesus "was made to appear like one" who had died on the cross, and this was so that Jesus could be taken down early to safety by some of his followers who then tended to his wounds and revived him.

Yes, well isn't the duelism of Islam just so convenient and sweet? Mohammed had two careers: Mecca for thirtenn years and Medina for eight. In Mecca he was weak and powerless and used da'wa (the word) to try to convert. Then, laughed out of Mecca, he went to Medina, gathered a following, then an army, and then brought the world the beautiful concepts of jihad and "naisk" (cancelling out the nice, tolerant things from Mecca and replacing them with the new, vengeful, violent, jihad Islam).

Read my comment containing a pdf file on the Holy Prophet's life to get a picture cleared from all the lies and distortions heaped upon his noble life. The dualism you talk of is being manifested in the anti-Islamic conduct of Muslim leaders today, not by the Prophet, peace be upon him. If you read about his life, you will never associate him with the wrongdoings of Muslims, no more than you would Jesus with the Inquisition.

They have moved far away from the beautiful Islam brought by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the only way for them to return to love, kindness and tolerance is to abandon their fanatic religious leaders and return to the wonderful teachings of their Prophet.
