Still you have to put the hours in. I don't believe in what is called natural acquisition from day one, you will be much better of learning at least the very basic vocabulary first. Learning the basic sturucture words of a foreign language is study right? You will have to look up some words in the dictionary. In terms of getting started a combination of study and acquisition may be the better choice.
