@johnson1095 Actually the top speed (without pedal assistance...) is about 85 km/h, which is about 53 MPH. However, the top speed with this kind of vehicle also depends on road condition, temperature, and so on. I however just love the idea and design of it and would definitely buy it, if I could...

@Stratos666 exactly the reasons why it won't do so! It doesn't agree with today's politics and economics. ;-/

I wish there were subtitles! :-)

@sundvisson Thats THE problem! Somehow, the inventors dont push enough towars mass production :-((
-
This is the sort of vehicle that should be mass produced and sold for under $5000. Otherwise it will never take off as a true "alternative vehicle".

If it would'd be so expensive - everyone would buy it !

if i am proficient in my politically-correct terms, that would be called a human-powered extended-range electric vehicle. lol.
this vehicle has the power to make the world a better place:
- healthier environment
- healthier people
- no more fat people
= happier society!!!

With the Twike Active, the pedals aren't connected to the wheels like a bike, they are in some way connected to the motor and are designed to relieve the batteries, thus extending the range (by pedalling, you are in fact, creating power). I often think of the Twike Active as a human/electric hybrid.
Hope this helps.
