With the addition of a dual-clutch transmission for the 911, Porsche has programmed a launch control for better acceleration. Watch race legend Hurley Haywood as he demonstrates how to use the system.

  • @balaies The Turbo launches at 4500rpm with LC, while the naturally aspirated 911s launch at 6500rpm with LC.

  • @balzayed76 yep :)

  • @brnrubber303 I see your point :) thanks

  • @balzayed76 He is on a track that probably requires all drivers to wear helmets (for insurance and legal purposes)

  • Suck Driver! U don't need to put 6.500 rpm! 4.500 it's the right limiter to do Launch Control.

This is a real launch control watch?v=I3ydvKpxavY

  • Hey helmet douche....you didn't launch it properly.

  • @balzayed76 airbags don't work at 150mph

    the helmet maybe

  • Just as Justbeatit999 said. I think he didn't do it the right way. Check out other videos!

  • why he is putting on a safety helmet ?! :/ I thought the car is full equipped with safety air bags !!!!!!

  • @eireskate Launch control only engages when you have it in automatic. Porsche did this to avoid people shifting to late and blowing their engines. The automatic shifts are slightly faster than the manual shifts anyway.
