With the addition of a dual-clutch transmission for the 911, Porsche has programmed a launch control for better acceleration. Watch race legend Hurley Haywood as he demonstrates how to use the system.
@eireskate Launch control only engages when you have it in automatic. Porsche did this to avoid people shifting to late and blowing their engines. The automatic shifts are slightly faster than the manual shifts anyway.
@balaies The Turbo launches at 4500rpm with LC, while the naturally aspirated 911s launch at 6500rpm with LC.
