I myself witnessed a 4v beat a neon with stock turbo at 20 psi... My 2v Gt that's CAMMED and is full bolt on got beat by it from a 40 by like 3-4 cars.. But from a dig I beat the srt4 by a car. But 2vs have shit top end and a turbo car loves roll racing... That's where they are best at!

@1slwgt The stock turbo on the neon is actually worse on the freeway because the turbo does not make very much power passed 5k rpm's. It's better for dig and slower speeds, and is horribly slow passed 120 mph. Most people race *lightly* modded neon's on stock suspension/wheels on the freeway because it is very hard to launch it correctly.

@2889joeracer Mustang got nos after this race 2 years ago and the tranny blew along with some of stuff. With the nitrous it kept up with my stock turbo neon, but the neon is now big turbo.

umm...are you serious? 20psi srt-4. Thats probably getting at least 280whp. I think part of it is the ATX tranny. After like 5 seconds into the race the mustang was keeping up with the SRT-4 for the most part.

@srt4slow first off my gt ran a 13.9 @ 102 stock. 2nd that same srt4 @ the track ran low 13s on high boost (20 lbs) w/tires. on the street its a whole different ball game. like i said check my vids.

check my srt4 on stock turbo w/20 lbs vs my mustang gt auto stock. closer than youd think. from a dead stop it takes nearly a 1/4 mile for the srt to catch up.

R u serious the best way ever to race a srt-4 is to run from a 40 a dead stop your fucked , I own a 05 and at a dead stop unless u have a 2 step your not gonna win shit, and plus this Vid is not that true, 20 psi on a stock turbo is bull, the stock td04 can only handle 18 psi at redline u can run 30 psi spike but once it hits redline it drops straight down to 18, that's it's max, trust me I spike 22 psi but as soon as redline hits it drops to 18..
