Lübeck Bay - germany / ferries of the 90s

Videoshots of many ferries on and from its way to / from Travemünde germany. Most of the shots were made long distance from the small city Grömitz at the Lübeck bay. Sorry for the camera shaking sometimes but back then there was no anti shake system! I still think it might be interesting.

Thank you. The song is from: Hans Hartz "Sail Away". A german singer. The song was used in the 90s for a german Becks Beer commercial. Later replaced by the same song sung by Joe Jocker. but it never had the succes as the original special sounding one by Hans Hartz.

good vid but the silja festival i still today sailing for silja line. it vas her sister silja karneval that was sold to color line and became the color festival.

I know, the point of this video is, that today no more cruise ferries as seen here are approaching lübeck travemünde germany. only in kiel there are cruiseferries (Stena&Color Line). Color Festival is sold and now called: MEGA SMERALDA. silja festival was back then chartered by euroway, while euroway was waiting for the second ship (siser of frans suell today gabriella) to be finished. that never happened, cause euroway went insolvent and closed the route before the second ship was delivered.
