@mcRioRemedy This is only what I think but I guess they could easily isolate a proton by taking the single electron off from a hydrogen atom. And the reason why they don't use electrons is because they have barely any mass and according to E=mc^2 they don't have as much energy in them.

The only way to find the higgs is to make a particle accelator that encompasses the eniter perimeter of the earth, oh by the way it will cost all the money in the whole world also
