every time i see this video, i see something new in it. as superb as varmaji is in his play, both the percussionists, harikumar and karthick are wonderful, complementing each other brilliantly. it is fascinating to see the way they compete with each other, adds so much to the song.

This verse is in the pentatonic scale, which is common in, e.g. Scottish music (Coming through the rye)
