His generation was the personification of cool. A time when black men were accountable , responsible , and faithful. And then came the vietnam conflict and the civil rights movement. .

@L8GR848 - Your welcome, its my pleasure to share such a talented beautiful soul such as Sam Cooke. I grew up as a child in the 60s and my Father was a devout Sam Cooke fan. My father played his music all the time, so i guess it became a part of the family legacy to share this beautiful music. My sons, now listen to Sams' beautiful music as well.

Sam's beautiful and God given voice is so wonderfully pleasant with each new song I have the opportunity I am blessed to hear. Sam said at "The Copa" he didn't want to go, and to keep "having that party". Let's celebrate his voice always and the classic soul he represents and not strangle those who sound simliar or those who pay tribute. Sam was a giver & taught many well-known singers with his blueprint. Let's celebrate Sam as Elvis' fans have their party for Elvis. God bless all Fans! Sanedra

This is the time for all of us to enjoy and appreciate talented singers of the past. And Sam Cooke was true to his art and sharing his love of beautiful songs, its the only testament we have of greatness. I love RnB singers, Rock, some Pop, some Country, but i love Soul singers.

I can Imagine Sam up in the heavenly realm singing his beautiful songs and sharing his love of the soul. I miss Sam Cooke and wish he were here with us.
The force of love is so pure through this brother and his beautiful voice.
