During this film Richard Burton and Elisabeth Taylor fell in love with each other. But being already married to other partners, their love created a big scandal in all the newsletters and it's said that therefore they weren't nominated for an Academic Award and the film itself has been a financial desaster... As time goes by, things changed. Must have been a crazy situation playing a couple in love, while being in love and therefore trying to hide the real love in front of the set

@sidrahsiddiqui The original title: 'The Life and Times of Cleopatra' (her name better for advertisement ?). You needn't defence...
: ) 'Caesar and Cleopatra' is the title of 1. a play by George Bernard Shaw (written 1898, first staged 1901) and 2. of a film by Gabriel Pascal (1945 with Claude Rains, Vivien Leigh, Stewart Granger).
'The Tragedy of Julius Caesar' (1599) + 'The Tragedy of Antony and Cleopatra' (1607) are William Shakespeare's plays. I like history, good films and good actors.

I'd love to see the director's cut!
