@JayClarkTheShark My point exactly, crimson has nothing to do with a tide. Crimson is a color not associated with a tide at all. And by saying that the elephant is for the kids just shows your stupidity. A mascot is not for kids enjoyment, it represents the schools colors and of course the chosen animal or whatever else schools use as a mascot. & yes a lot of Bama fans do say "we're the crimson tide elephant" you can here it in some songs as well. I live in Alabama so I do here those things.

Second, a degree from Auburn is much more prestigious than a degree from UA on any and all accounts. We have been consistently ranked within the top universities in the nation. Plus, our standards are higher. Simple fact.
