After watching videos on using artist brushes for makeup application (a great money saving idea), I decided to go and get some of my own to try! I was amazed at how well each of these brushes worked for makeup and plan to go and purchase more!

The 1/2 Maxine's Mop is the brush by Loew Cornell that is a great dupe for the MAC 252. It is stiff yet soft at the same time! It works well for applying color all over your lid or your brow highlight. I have even used it to smudge liner! Not to mention that cleaning this brush is a breeze...they all are!

If you have any questions about these items, leave them in the comments section, or feel free to email me at Vanitys_Edge@yahoo.com! (You can send requests to this address as well!)

Since the Maxine's Mop is being discontinued from Hobby Lobby & Michaels *tear*! You may still be able to find it at your local craft store, but just in case you cannot, here is a website you can order it from! This is a link straight to the "mop" section of Hofcraft's website! http://www.hofcraft.com/loew-cornell-maxines-mop-brushes.html The brushes are 40% off right now so you can get the 1/2 for under $3!!!!!! Go check it out and stock up...I am going to right now!

I will be posting some photos of these brushes on my blog soon, so make sure to check out my blog and sign up to follow and receive updates! Most of my blog posts correspond to my videos in one way or another! www.VanitysEdge.blogspot.com

  • Thanks for giving money saving tips with those brushes. I have the 3/4 inch 239 dupe and I love it. Plus I don't worry about staining it for bright color pigment mixing!

  • That is the best part about these brushes! Plus, there are so many to choose from for so many different applications!
