  • Ms. Crain is one of my favorite actress and a great person indeed. I've always identified her as the apotheosis of beauty and grace. God bless Jeanne!

  • That Betty Boop voice and her twitterpation for Richard Boone. Hysterical.

Ms Crain had a wide range from musicals to overheated dramas like Leave Her to Heaven to a daring drama titled Pinky about racial bigory and tolerance.

  • I've watched very many of these shows now (thank you NorbertR33!) and I've come up with a list of my favourite women. Those who not only looked good but were charming, intelligent and funny too. Anyone like to share their own list?

    1. Hedy Lamaar

    2. Ava Gardner

    3. Debbie Reynolds

    4. Jeanne Crane (although I don't share her political outlook)

    5. Eva Marie Saint

    6. Lee Remick

    7. Gene Tierney

I can think of far fewer of today's stars about whom I feel the same way. Grumpy old man??

  • She's a peach. I found her a bit late, but find her quite intriguing. Quite a beauty!

  • Oh you fiend. haha

  • @weightfeather1 Didn't hear of here til I seen Leave her to Heaven, I will remember her for sure, she lost a couple of her children before she passed, yes an awesome talent!

  • @okonh0wp If you would have seen any of her pictures you would have known she was one

of the most beautiful Red-heads to ever grace the Silver Screen.

  • @okonh0wp Usually, when they say they aren't blonde, they're redheads.

  • Is she blonde? How would we the viewer at home know? haha, it's all black and white

  • @estupido7490 I loved Pinky! I found it a very powerful great film, but it seemed to have some bad reception and criticism for casting Crain instead of an actual mulatto woman. I think it was better with Crain and I don't think white people would have watched it if it was a film starring black people. It wouldn't have hurt if they put her in a tanning bed or used some makeup trick to make her look a little darker. Kazan also said he didn't think Crain was necessarily a great actress, though

  • @okonh0wp Beautiful film, wasn't it?
