@yogafan6500 I was a mere infant in the 70's when my grandparents watched Lawrence Welk,but I have a huge appreciation for this now.The world would be a much better place if girls today dressed appropriately like Mr.Welk insisted that his ladies do and had class too.

As far as i can remember in my hometown of Chicago,Illinois the syndicated version of The Lawrence Welk Show ran on WGN-TV ch.9 from 1971 to 1982 sunday nights at 9pm but later moved up to 8pm in later years. Now that what's i call good tv and none of that Glee nonsense that's currently rotting our brains. Oh how i miss the glory days of that show .

And let's not forget, this was also the wonderful days when single syllables were confined to ONE note and not the entire octave. ;P
