The Bold 9700 doesn't have any antenna issues, that's just an excuse for Apple and Steve Jobs to distract you from the iPhone 4 antenna problems.

Seriously... No body in this world will hold a phone as if they were like crunching it and covering almost the entire phone with his hand. Iphone 4 loses it signal just by merely a soft touch covering the base of the phone... That's the issue...

There are no signal problems with the Blackberry phones no matter how you hold them. The iPhone problem was that the antenna is around the lower area of the case (poor desgned antenna), and thus the user's hand will attinuate the signal. The Blackberry antenna is a very different type of design, where it is impossible to attinuate the signal unless the phone was completely shielded. Overall, the hardware design and parts used for the RIM phone is higher quality than most others on the market.

Steves Jobs apple sucks. No antenna issue here Stevy I hope you have a new sales pitch for apple because Andriod and Blackberry are going to kick apples butt hard. I use to have apple crap and let it go for better products. Iphone sucks, ipad sucks o ya apple computers suck o ya every apple product sucks.

The antenna on the Blackberry Bold 9700's antenna is at the bottom of the phone. If you cup the phone at the bottom your bars will most likely drop. This became a huge issue for me because I text with two hands, holding it by the bottom. Sounds weird, but I use both my thumbs to type. I would go from full bars to no service very very often. Just sold my 9700 on eBay.
you not correct test.
please go option->status and check signal with numbers.
bars is approximate signal.
or press alt+NMLL then you will see instead bars digits, then you will see that numbers realy decrease

@TheSalesj Thanks for that information. After reading your post we tried this method with a few BlackBerry devices and still no signal drop.

First, you're in a good coverage area. Second, you might not really touch the antenna because you don't know where it is. The iPhone 4 'x marks' the antenna with a strip.

@kistajk We know were the antenna is on the BlackBerry 9700. As reporters we do our research before posting anything, so that we know we are providing correct information to our readers.
