Making her nationwide debut on NPR's FROM THE TOP in front of a live, sold out crowd, 17 year-old pianist Marika Bournaki plays J.S. Bach English Suite no.3 in G minor BWV 808; Gavotte I Gavotte II; Gigue.

This clip is part of a process feature documentary film in development, directed by Bobbi Jo Hart and produced by Robbie Hart of Adobe Productions International.

The film has followed Marika since she was 12 years-old, exploring the behind-the-scenes realities of a young girl determined from an early age to become a world class concert pianist.

  • When you don´t have enough knowledge and a strong foundation of the elements of the baroque style and then you want to break the rules for the sake of developing the "individual" style and sonority, you get something like her playing. It is vulgar.
