Another Sunny Day were a London-based indie pop band on Sarah Records, best known for the somewhat Smiths-esque single "You Should All Be Murdered" and for the single whose title perhaps best epitomises the Sarah Records output "I'm In Love With A Girl Who Doesn't Know I Exist". They recorded one album, London Weekend, which was released by Sarah. The frontman, Harvey Williams, later went on to record several albums under his own name and has collaborated on several records by other groups including The Field Mice, The Hit Parade and others. Harvey Williams works at the BBC.

  • @maripega I can remember Madonna being played at a Sarah Records christmas party, the first one i think. Don't be such a snob.

  • If you are fan of Britney Spears or Madonna, you should listen to this band, to know what is really music.

  • More's the pity: you can only listen to this song for the first time once. Unless you suffer from amnesia. Oh, well, you can always just rape the replay button chasing after that joy buzz. ;)

  • Oh, and it's better than a lot of what Morrissey or The Smiths have done - despite the fact that Harvey sounds almost exactly like Morrissey on this song (and the backing could of course be The Smiths!) :-)

  • Harvey Williams was one of the underrated songwriters of the time.... as if being in the seminal Field Mice was not enough, he also made some exquisite jangle pop of which THIS song is the towering, crowning glory. See also the song "Rio" - pisses all over the Duran song of the same name and leaves you with a HUGE lump in your throat by the windswept cliff-edge vibe that the mournful harmonica-driven ending conjures up.

  • Aw bless! loved it when I was an angst-ridden teen, and still love it today. Melancholic tweeness - you can't beat it..

  • this song makes me feel so fuckin sentimental

  • FUCK YEAH

  • I like the song but the cover art is awful

  • in my top five too

  • It's an amazing song. I'd probably put it in my top 5 of all time.
