Dame Elizabeth Taylor started her AIDS Fund Raising campaign in Los Angeles, California and as the epidemic spread across the country, she went where it went. She traveled to New York City to talk at The Gay Men's Health Crisis, Aids Project Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Washington, D.C. Soon, AIDS spread worldwide. In the United States, medical advances over the past two decades has hidden the traumatic images that we now see in some of the under developed countries of the world. But this false sense of security that AIDS is now manageable is simply not true. AIDS is still very much with us in all fifty states. It's face may be masked by medications but it has not been eradicated. For Dame Elizabeth Taylor, AIDS as a managed disease in this country isn't good enough. The medications alone may be more lethal (themselves) in the long run than our chronic weakened immune systems. AIDS must be destroyed or it will rise, full force, once more. Please donate if you can.

Rich, this is a touching video! Really tells the story of efforts of Dame Elizabeth to create awareness and generate hope. So beautifully expressed visually as well. ~ Lovingly Debra Joy
