I can accommodate our younger viewers. I read EASY books!!! I'm sorry, that's just the way God made me.

Favorite: Hatchet by Gary Paulsen
Genre: Realistic, fiction, fantasy (not a lot though), plays (that's what 4yrs of theatre will do to you)

  • Lovw Phantom Toll Booth

  • that book got me into reading

  • Hatchet is good. I actually re-read that about a year ago; still good.

Based on the stuff you mentioned, I have a couple of recommendations: The Animal Family, by Randall Jarrell; Animal Farm, by George Orwell; Rash, by Pete Hautman; Looking for Alaska and An Abundance of Katherines, by John Green.

  • That last one sounds good, i read Animal Farm and it got me really depressed... Communism just doesn't work for me haha, I think that's what it was about, right?

  • i like hatchet

  • read c.s. lewis' letters. they, captivate.

  • There are some great children's books out there and some teenage books that have crossed over to be read by lots of adults.

Read what you enjoy - that's the main thing !

  • Haha! I'm reading The Chronicals of Narnia right now. I had the books years and years ago, and I've tried to read them around about 4 or 5 times now. I finished The Magician's Nephew today =D *dances*.

  • OMG!!! Is that an apple sticker on your wall!?

  • I didn't read the last 10 pages of Frankenstein because we had already moved on at that point in class. I actually started out the summer alternating 'adult' books with 'kids' books. I read the Phantom Tollbooth actually (quite good) and several Sideways Stories from Wayside School books, in addition to working on the complete short stories of Kafka and Chaos: Making a New Science. You might check out Vonnegut or Sedaris, real easy reads but also clever and funny.

  • Are you dislexic? My brother is, and it takes forever for him to read a book.

  • I use to and am still like you.

Big books scare me and I am sooooo slow at reading.

I cannot wait to see what you pull out of your... shelf.
